2016 Tour Auto Optic 2000
Monday 18 - Sunday 24 April 2016

The next Tour de France Auto Optic 2000 on 18-24 April 2016 is an anniversary event. Bearing this in mind it will give the 240 participants a new-for-2016 route, which will finish for the first time in the Peter Auto era with a nighttime run on well-known rally roads in the countryside above the Côte d’Azur. The cars which have made the Tour a legend will have the place of honour for this occasion : Ferrari 250 GT Belinetta, Jaguar MK II 3.8L, Ligier JS2 and Matra MS 650.

As is tradition, the 2016 Tour Auto Optic 2000 will begin on Monday, April 18 by a cars exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris. The next day (Tuesday, April 19), competitors will start from the French capital to travel along roads and race on circuits all over France to discover the country’s cultural heritage.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary Peter Auto has added a night run to the programme. Thus it won’t be over for the drivers who reach the final stage on Saturday afternoon. After a few hours’ rest all the surviving crews will get back behind the wheel in the early morning and head for the back roads of the Côte d’Azur for a nighttime leg. The finish will bring down the curtain on the event celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Tour Auto Optic 2000!
